In Silico Design and Analysis of the Liberty Robotic Rehabilitation Platform

 

The Liberty Robotic Rehabilitation Platform was designed to provide full body rehabilitation to severely disabled patients who are restricted to bed rest. The rehabilitation movements include flexion of the arms/legs, walking-like stepping, movements in the medial-lateral plane as well as automatic position changes. To ensure successful development of this platform, in silico design and analysis (i.e. simulation) was performed in this project. The initial mechanical structure of the Liberty Robotic Rehabilitation Platform was developed in SolidWorks.
